What is a Google Place ID?+
A Place ID is the unique identifier Google assigns to a location — a string like ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4. It stays the same even if the business name, phone number or address changes, which makes it the safest way to reference a listing in review links, embeds, APIs and widgets.
How do I find my Google Place ID?+
Type your business name and suburb into the search above, pick the matching listing, and copy the Place ID. If you already have a Maps link or share link, paste it into the second tab instead and we'll resolve it for you.
What can I use a Place ID for?+
Building a direct write-a-review link, embedding a Google map of your exact listing, connecting review widgets and booking tools, and calling the Google Places API. Anywhere a tool asks for your listing, a Place ID is the unambiguous answer.
Why can't the tool find my business?+
Usually the listing isn't verified yet, the name doesn't match what's on the Business Profile, or there are several similar businesses nearby. Add the suburb or city, try the exact registered name, or paste a Maps share link instead.
Does a Place ID ever change?+
Rarely, but it can — for instance if Google merges duplicate listings or a business moves and the location is re-created. If a link that used to work suddenly doesn't, look the Place ID up again here.
