Review response generator

Pick the star rating, choose what the review was about, and get three ready-to-copy replies written the way a good business owner would write them. Free, instant, no sign-up — and nothing you type leaves your browser.

Star rating of the review

Mentioning one specific detail is the single biggest thing that stops a reply reading like a template.

How to reply to reviews well

A good review response is short, specific and human. Thank the reviewer by first name, mention one detail that proves you read what they wrote, and — where something went wrong — apologise plainly and move the detail offline. Replies under 60 words consistently read better than long defences.

  • Reply to everything. Five-star reviews deserve ten seconds; one-star reviews deserve a phone call and a two-sentence public note.
  • Never argue in public. Future customers judge your tone, not who was right.
  • Vary your wording. Twenty identical “Thanks for your feedback!” replies look automated — use the shuffle button and add a detail.
  • Show the reviews you earn. Replying builds trust on Google; embedding those reviews on your website builds trust where people actually buy.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reply to a Google review?+

Open your Google Business Profile, find the review under Reviews, and select Reply. Paste your response, keep it under about 60 words, thank the reviewer by first name, mention one specific detail and — for negative reviews — offer a way to continue the conversation privately.

Should I respond to every review?+

Yes. Google states that responding to reviews shows you value your customers, and businesses that reply consistently tend to earn more reviews over time. A short, genuine reply to a five-star review takes ten seconds and signals to future customers that a real person is paying attention.

How quickly should I reply to a negative review?+

Within 24 to 48 hours. A fast, calm reply limits the damage far more than a perfect reply written a fortnight later. Acknowledge the problem, avoid arguing publicly, and move the detail to a phone call or email.

What should I never say in a review response?+

Never share private customer details, never dispute the facts line by line, never offer a discount in exchange for changing or removing a review, and never copy and paste the same sentence under every review — Google and readers both notice.

Can I get a fake or unfair review removed?+

You can report reviews that breach Google's prohibited and restricted content policies — spam, conflicts of interest, offensive content or reviews from people who were never customers. Reply publicly and politely in the meantime, because the review usually stays visible while the report is assessed.

Is this review response generator free?+

Yes, completely. There is no account, no email capture and no usage limit. Every reply is generated in your browser from professionally written templates, so nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere.
