Frequently asked questions
What is the easiest way to put Google reviews on a website?+
Paste a single embed script tag into your page. Every mainstream website builder has a block that accepts HTML — a Code Block, an Embed element, a Custom Liquid section or an HTML widget — so no plugin, app or developer is needed on any of them.
Which guide should I follow?+
Pick the guide matching the platform your site is built on. If you are unsure, or your site is hand-built, start with the pillar guide, which covers the concepts and links out to every platform-specific walkthrough.
Do these guides only cover Google reviews?+
The steps are identical for Trustpilot, Yelp, Facebook and TripAdvisor. The embed snippet is the same one line regardless of how many review sources you connect, and multiple sources appear as tabs within one widget.
Will embedded reviews show star ratings in Google search?+
Usually not. Google treats reviews about your own business, displayed on your own site, as self-serving and ineligible for review rich results. The widget still injects valid structured data, but treat embedded reviews as a conversion asset rather than a rankings tactic.
Do I need to be technical to follow these guides?+
No. Every guide is written for the platform's normal editing interface, with the exact menu names and settings. The most technical action in any of them is copying one line of text and pasting it into a box.
Why do reviews not appear in my site editor?+
Most builders — Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Elementor and the Shopify theme editor — deliberately block third-party scripts inside their editors and show a placeholder instead. Publish the page and check the live URL; that is the only reliable test.
