For agents and agencies

Real estate agent testimonials that win the listing

A vendor choosing between three agents is choosing between three people, not three commission rates. They will read what previous sellers said about communication, negotiation and the week the campaign went quiet — and they will read it on their phone before they book a single appraisal.

Why vendors choose on testimonials

Selling a home is infrequent, high value and emotionally loaded, so vendors lean heavily on other sellers' accounts. Detailed testimonials naming the suburb, the campaign and the result persuade far more than a star average, because they let a vendor picture their own sale.

One widget per agent, one per office

Build a separate widget for each agent and embed it on their profile page, then run an office-wide widget on the homepage. Vendors shortlist people, so agent-level proof converts better than a single agency-wide grid on every page.

Which platforms to connect

  • Google Business Profile — the base layer for the office and, where they exist, individual agent profiles.
  • Facebook — strong for community-focused agents and local page followings.
  • Property portal agent ratings — where vendors do their shortlisting in most markets.
  • On-site testimonials — for past vendors happy to write something but not to post publicly.

Combining sources is covered in multi-platform reviews.

Placement on an agency site

The appraisal page is the one that matters. A vendor reaching it has already decided to sell and is choosing who with — put a compact list of your strongest recent testimonials directly above the form, with the write-a-review button in the footer so settled clients can add theirs.

Collecting testimonials after settlement

Ask on settlement day, while the outcome is fresh and the relationship is at its warmest. A single message with a direct link to your review form outperforms a request buried in a post-settlement pack.

For sellers who prefer not to post publicly, the on-site review form captures a written testimonial that waits for your approval before it appears — see manual reviews and moderation.

Frequently asked questions

Where should real estate agent testimonials go on a website?+

On the agent's own profile page first, because that is where a vendor lands after seeing a sold board or a listing. Then on the appraisal or 'sell with us' page directly above the enquiry form, and as a filtered grid on suburb landing pages so the testimonials match the area the vendor is searching.

Can each agent have their own reviews widget?+

Yes. Create a separate widget per agent, connect the sources tied to that agent, and embed the snippet on their profile page. The office homepage can run its own widget aggregating every source.

Which review platforms matter for real estate?+

Google Business Profile is the base layer for both the office and individual agents. Facebook carries weight for community-focused agents, and the major property portals in your market hold agent ratings that vendors check during shortlisting.

Can I mix written testimonials with platform reviews?+

Yes. Enable the on-site review form so past vendors and buyers can submit a testimonial directly. Submissions wait in your dashboard for approval, then appear in the same grid alongside your Google and Facebook reviews.

Do testimonials on my site help me rank in Google?+

Indirectly. Reviews on your Google Business Profile influence local ranking; testimonials on your own site do not directly. What they do is add unique page content and improve conversion on the pages vendors already reach, and the write-a-review button grows the profile reviews that do affect ranking.

Can I filter testimonials by suburb or property type?+

You can build a separate widget per suburb or campaign and choose which reviews appear in it, so a vendor reading your Northside page sees Northside sales rather than a generic mix.
