Adding reviews to Framer, Webflow and other no-code builders
Framer, Webflow and most no-code builders add live Google reviews the same way: paste one embed snippet into an Embed or Code block. Framer uses its Embed component (HTML option) and Webflow uses the Code Embed element. Testimonial components only show quotes you type yourself, while a review widget keeps real reviews updated.
Framer testimonial component vs a live review widget
Search for a Framer testimonial component and you will find plenty of beautiful cards, sliders and marquees. They look great, but every quote is text you typed in. They never update, and visitors cannot tell whether a quote is real.
A live review widget pulls genuine reviews from Google, Trustpilot or Facebook, with the reviewer's name, star rating and date. New reviews appear on their own, so your site keeps earning trust without another design pass.
| Testimonial component | Live review widget | |
|---|---|---|
| Content source | Quotes you type in | Google, Trustpilot, Facebook and more |
| Updates | Manual edits only | Automatic refresh |
| Verifiable | No | Name, rating, date and source shown |
| Best for | One hero quote | Reviews sections, home pages, landing pages |
How to add Google reviews to Framer
Framer has no review integration of its own, but its Embed component accepts HTML and scripts. That makes adding a widget a two-minute job.
- Create a widget, connect your Google Business Profile and pick a layout.
- Copy the embed snippet.
- In Framer, insert an Embed component where the reviews should go.
- Choose the HTML option (not URL) and paste the snippet.
- Set the component width to fill its stack so the layout can resize on phones.
- Publish and check the live site.
Embed component or custom code?
Use the Embed component to show reviews in a specific section. Project-level custom code suits elements that belong on every page, such as a floating rating badge.
Is there a Webflow Google review plugin?
Not in the plugin-store sense. Webflow's Code Embed element is the plugin: drop it into a section, paste the snippet, save and publish. It also works inside components and CMS collection pages.
The Designer shows a placeholder rather than live reviews, which is normal. Custom code needs a paid Site plan, so check your plan first if nothing appears on the live site. The step-by-step Webflow embed guide has the exact clicks.
Get your no-code review widget
Pick a layout, match your fonts and colours, then paste one snippet into Framer or Webflow.
Carrd, Durable and other no-code builders
The same snippet works on any builder that accepts custom HTML. Look for a block named Embed, Code, HTML or Custom code. Many builders keep it on paid plans, so a missing block usually means a plan upgrade rather than a different method.
Wix, Squarespace and WordPress follow the same pattern; see our Wix fixes and Squarespace guide, or the overview of our no-code embed.
Choosing a review widget for no-code sites
Tools such as SociableKit, Elfsight and Reviews Widget all embed with a snippet, so compare what visitors will see.
- Design control. Framer and Webflow sites are design-led; fonts, colours and corners should match.
- Responsive layouts. The widget should resize with its container, not a fixed width.
- Multiple sources. One widget combining Google with Trustpilot or Facebook saves page weight.
- Accurate totals. Rating and review count should match your profile.
- Clear pricing. Check view limits and branding on free plans on the pricing page.
Common problems and fixes
The widget is squashed or overflows
Give the Embed a fill or relative width instead of a fixed pixel width, and avoid placing it in a narrow column on phones.
Nothing shows on the live site
Confirm you used the HTML option in Framer or a Code Embed in Webflow, that your plan allows custom code, and that you republished after pasting.
Reviews look different from the preview
Your site's styles can affect spacing. Use the widget's own font and colour settings rather than overriding them in the builder.
Get more reviews to display
A widget shows the reviews you already have. Share your Google review link after every job, and never offer incentives or only ask happy customers.
